Irving Cohen

One of the top managers during boxing's golden age, Cohen began managing in 1935 and eventually guided nearly 500 pro fighters in his 35-year career.
He was born in Vilna, Russia and later moved to New York. He was best known as the manager of Rocky Graziano, Cohen also piloted talented fighters such as Walter Cartier, Bob Murphy and Hall of Famer Billy Graham.
In the early 1960s, Cohen managed Stillman's Gym in New York City and promoted boxing shows at St. Nick's Arena and Sunnyside Garden. He died at age 87 in Scottsdale, Arizona on June 25, 1991.
